General
The file titles in the Correspondence subseries are taken from Miller's original filing system. Although the vast majority of this series is composed of correspondence, some of the folders mix the letters with background research on his correspondents, and in a few cases (including all of the files on very prominent people, such as Albert Einstein and Jean-Paul Sartre) the folders exclusivley contain research materials rather than any personal correspondence.
