Allyne family home and gardens, 1880s-1900s
Scope and Contents
Negatives consist of film and glass plate negatives created by or depicting the Burr-Allyne family. Some negatives have been attributed to Mary Allyne, including images of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire and President William McKinley’s 1901 visit to San Francisco. Film and glass plate negatives attributed to Alice Burr demonstrate some of her early portraiture work and her travel photography. Not all the negatives in this series correspond to the photographic prints found in Series 8.
